The Probus Club of York is a thriving club with upwards of 70 male members of whom approximately 45 at any one time attend and enjoy our meetings. We meet fortnightly on Thursdays at the Beechwood Close Hotel, Clifton, York. A detailed and precise programme can be obtained from the Secretary. There are no meetings during the months of June, July and August.

We have a sophisticated system for developing an interesting and varied programme of speakers. All members of the club are able to suggest possible speakers and the Speaker Secretary produces a well-balanced programme with a wide range of subjects so that there is something for everyone.

Three times a year we have a lunch and spouses are invited to the Christmas lunch.

We are currently working on trying to reinstate coach trips and visits to interesting venues. This will depend on finding an enthusiastic person to do the organising.
