The aims and objects of the club are as follows –
To bring together retired and partly retired professional and business men.
To further the aims and objects of the club by providing opportunities for fellowship amongst members, by holding luncheons, meetings, and such other social gatherings as the Club may arrange.
To offer individual service.
The Club meets every fourth Wednesday of each month, except August and December, at the Arlington Rooms, London Road, Leigh – on – Sea, Essex. Ladies luncheons are held twice a year in January and July, whilst the Annual General Meeting is held in March.
The Club has a membership of 40 members, of which approximately 30 members attend the meetings to hear entertaining and instructive speakers on a variety of subjects.
Members and their wives have the opportunity to join other local probus clubs for outings to theatres, and visits to historic buildings and gardens.
Membership is open to retired and partly retired professional business men living in Southend – on – Sea and the surrounding districts .
